Huish Outdoors Acquires Zeagle

Last September when Huish Outdoors purchased its second major scuba company, Atomic Aquatics (Bare Sports was first), we labeled them an “emerging US outdoor sports company.” Since then they have sailed past that moniker, adding quality dive bag manufacturer Stahlsac to the family and coming close to purchasing another un-named company this past spring. Now, with the purchase of Zeagle  (Zephyrhills, FL) they have expanded their product base and are firmly in the camp with the big boys.

Ever since the Huish family sold their detergent business for a much more fun venture, we have seen them focus on acquiring only quality product lines. Zeagle is no exception.  For years when people mentioned Zeagle the first thought that came to mind was their high quality BCD. Currently their Wicked Litetravel BCD is very well respected. Zeagle is also proud that they make their own products and do it in the USA. Their regulator line, at first glance may seem to compete with Huish’s Atomic, but the Zeagle line now gives Huish a balanced diaphragm first stage and adjustable second stages not found in the Atomic line.
